Abstract

Maine Senate President Jeffrey Butland chose not to run for the Senate minority leadership position, presenting the Republican Party with a new opportunity to connect with Mainers. State senator Phil Harriman believes the party can still make a difference in the lives of everyday Mainers, and said he will support the candidate who is serious about including all Senate Republicans in communicating a vision of state government to working Mainers. State senator Jane Amero is the only serious candidate for Senate minority leader.
