Abstract
"News & Issues" piece on the conclusion of a pact between Baxter Park officials and the Penobscot Indians that will allow Native Americans to use Baxter State Park for spiritual practices. The settlement designates areas in the wilderness park for tribal uses, and at the same time opens the door for special uses by other groups and organizations.
