Abstract

A report by Coastal Enterprises Inc. for the Maine Science and Technology Foundation says that small Maine defense contractors are optimistic about the future, and most do not see a decrease in the volume of defense-related products over the next decade. Of 27 Maine firms surveyed, more than half reported that defense contracts account for less than ten percent of overall revenues, and only three said that more than 80 percent of their business came from defense contracts.
