The Maine Audubon Society and the Sportsman's Alliance of Maine are working together to establish a new wildlife fund, with the money for the fund to come from a wildlife game run by the Maine Lottery Commission. The two groups will launch a referendum drive this fall to place an initiative on the November 1995 asking voters to approve the measure, which is expected to generate as much as $5 million for fish and wildlife conservation.
