Endless Energy Co., which had proposed installing three wind turbines atop Sugarloaf Mountain, is on the verge of shutting down after acknowledging it will fail to meet a Central Maine Power Co. deadline of December 1. Harley Lee, company president, says Zond Energy Co. of California is to blame, since it didn't get the turbines to Sugarloaf until September. Details.
