Bottom image: Diner proprietor and owner Randy Chassé, at the counter.
Miss Portland was opened in March 1949 by Navy veterans Frank Venuti and James Crowder, at 175 Forest Avenue (see this link for the history of the Diner).

The Diner was moved around the corner to 49 Marginal Way, during construction of the Federal Building (circa 1968).

The Diner closed in 2004, and reopened in 2008 at 140 Marginal Way.
