Description

Full exterior view of One City Center building from west.
The office building was constructed in 1984, and completed in 1985 (with final designs completed in 1983). Prior to its construction, the footprint of One City Center was popularly called the "Golden Triangle," being on a triangular city block flanked at northwest by Federal Street, northeast by Temple Street, and south by Middle Street (before the latter had been later rerouted during the Maineway urban renewal project. See lower right corner in this aerial photograph.)
