Circa1960, and 1982 Menus from the Roma Café, 769 Congress Street. the Roma opened in 1936 (following a year at another location on Congress Street). The restaurant was owned and operated by Dominic Marino who immigrated to Portland from Peschici, Italy. The Roma was opera legend Mario Lanza's favorite place to dine in Portland.

1982 and 1989 Menus from The Sportsman's Grill, 911 Congress Street. Featuring a famous spaghetti sauce, the Sportsman's opened in 1951, owned by Jimmy Vasile. The popular Italian restaurant closed in 1997.
