Abstract

A report submitted Tuesday to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court says that cameras should be allowed in the courtroom because the public deserves to have access to the judicial system through the media. The report was issued by a 10-member committee who studied the matter for two years, and will be considered by the state's highest court before it decides on whether cameras and tape recorders should be allowed in courts on a permanent basis.
