Abstract

The Maine Human Rights Commission has filed suit in Kennebec County Superior Court against Champion International Corp. of Bucksport, claiming Champion discriminated against a deaf job applicant. Larry Mayhew, 32, was required to take and pass a test which included a verbal portion, a requirement the commission found to be discriminatory. Details.
