Abstract

Bath Iron Works and the Moosehead Marine Museum have reached a tentative agreement under which BIW will reskin the hull of the historic steamship Katahdin, built by the shipbuilder in 1914 as Hull No. 63, The steamship was originally used as a timber raft tow boat, but was retired from logging drives in 1976 and eventually restored for use as a tour boat.
