Abstract

The U.S. Navy has again asked Bath Iron Works and competitor Ingalls Shipbuilding of Mississippi for an extension on deciding who will win contracts to build three Aegis destroyers. The Navy was originally supposed to award the contracts by mid-April, but asked for an extension through May 16. Yesterday it asked for another extension, this time through May 31.
