Abstract

Carlene Rogers, the mother of Carl Tripp, 27, a paranoid schizophrenic patient who was missing from the Augusta Mental Health Institute for two days, yesterday drove to Augusta to give police pictures of her missing son. As she left the police station, she spotted her son at the Shop 'n Save supermarket and lured him back with a package of cigarettes. This was Tripp's fourth escape from AMHI since his hospitalization nine months ago. He is considered dangerous to himself and to others. AMHI officials will not discuss the matter.
