Abstract

Carey Phillips, an associate professor of biology at Bowdoin College, has signed a contract with Benjamin/Cummings, a science textbook publisher in California, to develop a prototype for a series of interactive computer programs teaching college biology. Phillips has spent five years developing the program, called "Interactive Knowledge," which uses CD-ROM technology to deliver computer animation that can illustrate scientific processes. Details.
