Abstract

According to police in Montgomery County, Maryland, Thomas Benjamin Spande, 21, a Bowdoin College senior has been charged with the first degree murder of his mother, who was bludgeoned to death with a hammer. Spande is now undergoing psychiatric evalution and a warrant has been issued for his arrest when the evaluation is complete.
