Abstract

Representatives of Maine's Passamaquoddy Indian tribe and Harrah's Casinos yesterday released a report by Wharton Economic Forecasting Associates of Pennsylvania that said a casino in Calais would create more than 1,500 jobs with an annual payroll of $30 million -- The report predicts that 787,000 people a year would visit the proposed 18,000-square-foot casino, which would include a 116-room hotel, two restaurants, a health club, a theater and nature trails -- Details
