Abstract

The Portland City Council yesterday voted 8-0 in favor of selling a 15-acre parcel of land to Martin's Point Health Care Center for $200,000 -- The land is adjacent to school department offices and will be used for a parking lot -- The city purchased the land, part of a 624-acre parcel, from the federal government in 1976, and since the federal government still retains an interest in the land it must approve the sale -- Details
