Fleet Financial Group of Providence, RI, parent of Fleet Bank of Maine, yesterday announced that its workforce in the state will be slashed by 19 percent, or 275 positions, as part of a company-wide restructuring that will eliminate 5,500 jobs over the next year -- Fleet Bank of Maine, the state's largest bank, employs 1,400 people in Maine, and has $32 billion in assets Details
