Abstract

U.S. Senator William S. Cohen and U.S. represenative Olympia J. Snowe yesterday asked federal Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen to allow European flights to Cuba to refuel at Bangor International Airport. The flights are currently not allowed to stop at the airport because of the U.S. embargo on trade with Cuba, a situation which hurts the airport and the surrounding economy.
