Abstract

Dr. Lani Graham, Maine's health director, yesterday released figures showing that 32 percent of the state's high school students smoke cigarettes. The figures are from a survey among students in 24 schools across the state, with 2,400 students responding. Graham blamed aggressive promotion of and easy access to tobacco products for the high rate of smoking. Details.
