Abstract

Eight Republican candidates for governor met at a League of Women voters-sponsored forum on Friday. The candidates, four women and four men, split on casino gambling but on the whole disagreed very little. The candidates are Mary Adams of Garland, Susan Collins of Standish, Rep. Paul Young of Limestone, Senate Majority Leader Pamela Cahill of Woolwich, Rep. Judith Foss of Yarmouth, Sumner Lipman of Augusta, Sen. Charles Webster of Farmington, and Jasper Wyman of Waterville.
