Abstract

Elementary school children in Bridgton last week settled into their new 20-classroom, modular building, a temporary school designed to house them until the completion of a $4.5 million renovation and expansion of the old school next door. The modular school building has a library, a gymnasium, separate art and music rooms and classrooms for specialists, and the leasing of the building illustrates the wasteful realities of the state's complex financing system for school leasing and construction.
