Abstract

Motorists driving Route 1 in Scarborough this summer are likely to encounter traffic delays as construction crews work on projects on three sections of the highway. Trees and shrubs will be planted, sidewalks and granite curbs will be installed and parts of the roadway will be widened to include a fifth lane for left turns. The work is being done in conjunction with the construction of a connector road linking Payne Road and the Maine Turnpike with Route 1. Details.
