Abstract

Central Maine Power Co. has agreed to a plan to build fishways on the Saco River. Under the plan, fish passages on the Springs and Bradbury dams in Biddeford-Saco must be completed and operational by May, 1, 1997, and a passageway on the Skelton Dam in Buxton-Dayton must be completed by May 1, 1998, or thereabouts. The proposals are supported by officials in Saco and Biddeford, fishermen and state fisheries officials. Details.
