Abstract

Central Maine Power Co. has asked for a $29 million rate increase, which if approved would raise an average electric bill from $58 to $60. The utility is allowed under state law to request an annual increase to recover higher fuel costs, and the $29 million the utility is seeking is the smallest fuel adjustment request in five years.
