Abstract

Bob Bondurant, 51, a former auto racing champion both in the U.S. and abroad, was at Portland Regional Vocational Technical Center yesterday to talk to students who will participate in today's state finals of the Ford-AAA Student Auto Skills National Quality Care Challenge. Bondurant, who has trained such nationally-known drivers as Al Unser Jr. and Dale Earnhardt, demonstrated emergency evasive driving skills that are important in countering the kind of sudden emergencies all drivers routinely face.
