Abstract

The Corporation for Enterprise Development, a Washington, D.C., think tank that rates economic performance and development potential in the 50 states, released figures yesterday indicating that Maine has the worst job quality in the Northeast. The group dropped the state's ranking in two of three categories, economic performance and business vitality, while it ranked the state's capacity to further develop the economy the same as it has for the last five years.
