A jury yesterday found George Gatcomb Jr., 44, guilty of raping his cellmate at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham in 1992. The verdict marks one of the few times a prisoner in Maine has been convicted of raping another inmate. Gatcomb faces a maximum sentence of 40 years on each of two counts. Details.
