Abstract

For the second year in a row a citizen-initiated petition to recall the town's municipal and school budgets has succeeded in Gorham. The referendum will be put to the town's voters next Tuesday. As passed by the town council, the $18,266,120 budget for 1994-95 would cause increase taxes by $1.23 for each $1,000 of property valuation. The current tax rate is $17.70.
