Abstract

Justice Roland A. Cole yesterday ruled that statements made to police by Pamela J. Elliott, 31, of Westbrook, who is accused of killing her infant daughter after giving birth in her Westbrook apartment in 1992, were made voluntarily and can be used in her trial, which begins tomorrow in Cumberland County Superior Court. An autopsy showed the baby died of suffocation and lack of postnatal care. Elliott claims the baby was dead when born.
