Abstract

Thomas J. Kane yesterday defeated Saco Mayor Mark D. Johnston and Rep. Peggy Pendleton to win the Democratic nomination in state Senate District 31. Kane is a former state mental health administrator. District 31 includes a part of Scarborough and all of Saco, Old Orchard and Dayton, and a slice of Buxton.
