Abstract

In the primary race for the Democratic nomination in state House District 24, which includes parts of South Portland and Cape Elizabeth, Santo S. DiPietro, 58, of South Portland yesterday out polled Nadine F. Byram by a vote of 618 to 469. In the November general election, DiPietro will face James J. Tracey, 26, who beat Ray L. Lee by a vote of 375 to 218 to win the Republican nomination in the district. Tracey is facing two felony charges in Rhode Island for the alleged rape of a University of Maine coed in 1992. Details.
