Abstract

Janice Driver's fourth-grade class at Woolwich Central School has written a new book, "Highlights of Margaret Chase Smith's Life," about the Maine's famous former senator. Published by Biddle Publishing in Brunswick, the book will sell for $8.95 at Bookland stores and through the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance. Driver had her students undertake the project, because she was frustrated by the lack of information about Sen. Smith written at the grade level of her students.
