Abstract
Tuckerman's Outfitters of Freeport has emerged from bankruptcy with four stores and the promise to pay its creditors. Frederick Leighton, president of CRSS Ski and Sport Inc., Tuckerman's parent corporation, said the company plans to pay its debts within five years, and will do so sooner if business conditions permit. Before CRSS filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last October, it operated five year-round and three seasonal shops. It now employs around 20 year-round workers, as compared to 27 before the bankruptcy filing. Details.
