Abstract

The relationship between the city of Bath and the town of Cascais, Portugal, began in 1987 when Jan Iserbyte of Bath was rescued from a shipwreck off the coast of Portugal. The Bath Fire Department has helped the Cascais Volunteer Fire Association locate used equipment that is still in good shape, and recently five members of the Bath Fire Department traveled to Cascais to visit their Portugese colleagues.
