Abstract

Jane and Franck Leconte, owners of the month-old Le Bistro du Lac restaurant in Raymond, offer diners an investment plan along with their meal. The Lecontes need $65,000 to renovate the first floor of their historic Federal-style building at the junction of routes 302 and 85, and decided to offer customers the chance to invest in their class C corporation. Investors become members of the Panther Run Society, and depending on the type and amount of investment can either receive salmon and other foods or straight dividends in return for their investments.
