Abstract

Employees of Bath Iron Works yesterday held their fourth noon rally of the week, with several hundred members of Local 6 of the International Association of Machinists showing their displeasure with the proposed contract between BIW and the union by shouting, jeering and calling for the ouster of union president John Dionne. The union's 5,300 members will vote on the new three-year contract on Friday, and if it is rejected union leaders say they expect members to strike. Details.
