Abstract

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston has approved a plan under which a group of Portland investors will buy Citicorp Maine from Citicorp and form Atlantic Bancorp of South Portland, which is expected to have deposits of $206 million and assets of $220 million. The investors group, consisting of Nicholas H.S. Higgins, Weston Bonney, John P. M. Higgins, Lyndell J. Wishcamper, Robert C. S. Monks, Robert A. G. Monks and Robert Holmes, say the approval should allow them to complete the purchase of the six Citicorp branches on September 30.
