Abstract

The Portland Chamber Music Festival debuts Saturday at Westbrook College's Ludcke Auditorium, and co-directors Jennifer Elowitch and Dena Levine are determined that the event will not be an ordinary one. Elowitch, a Portland-born violinist and teacher, and Levine have scheduled four concerts, each with three pieces, and have recruited young musicians whose primary work is with other small ensembles.
