Abstract

James Roosevelt Jr., a grandson of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, yesterday visited the radio studio of WBLM-FM in Portland to tape an advertisement endorsing U.S. represenative Thomas Andrews for the U.S. Senate. The ad focused on preserving the Social Security system created by FDR, and questioned votes by U.S. represenative Olympia Snowe, Andrews' opponent, to cut Social Security and Medicare.
