Abstract

The National Science Foundation yesterday awarded a $927,000 grant to School Administrative District 75 and the Brunswick school system. The funds are for The Communication of Learners Network, a project to develop a computer network linking the school systems with Bowdoin College, Curtis Memorial Library and businesses that include Bath Iron Works and L.L. Bean. The network will allow students to tap into the Internet, communicate between schools and engage in electronic conversations with local businesses and agencies. Details.
