Abstract

J.D. Irving Ltd. of Canada has reached verbal agreement to purchase a section of the Canadian Atlantic rail line. The line runs between the New Brunswick border and Brownville Junction, and is owned by Canadian Pacific Railway. If consummated, the deal would result in Irving's New Brunswick Rail Co. owning the rail line between St. John and Brownville Junction. Details.
