Abstract

Medaphis Physician Services Corp. of Atlanta, currently employing around 100 people at its Northeast regional office in Lewiston, plans to bring 500 new jobs into the city in the next two years. Medaphis is the first company to take advantage of Maine's Quality Center Program, which offers state funding to underwrite the training of employees for a company that brings 20 new jobs into the state. The company came to Maine last year when it bought Medical Management Information Systems in Lewiston. Details.
