Abstract
The Great Salt Bay Sanitary District on Thursday took by eminent domain control of the water system that serves Damariscotta, Newcastle and part of Nobleboro. The public district took control of the system from Consumers Water Co. because residents were dissatisfied with rate increases and the level of services they were receiving. Consumers Water said they would appeal the $601,788 sale price in Superior Court. Details.
